Khoma Village
Khoma Village is nationally world-famous as the epicenter of Bhutan’s most intricate raw silk weaving, known as Kishutara. Nestled along a quiet valley floor, the village features traditional timber-and-earth houses where intricate textile patterns have been passed down through generations of women weavers.
Visitors to Khoma can walk down the village pathways and observe weavers crafting complex geometric patterns on traditional backstrap looms. It is the premier place in the country to acquire authentic Kishutara textiles directly from the master artisans who supply royal garments.
